Project Overview
This fully responsive website, built on Squarespace, showcases El Metro. A historic Spanish tapas bar and restaurant in Fulham established in 1989. The site beautifully blends Spanish flair with modern design, featuring pages such as About, Menus, Gallery, Our Food & Drinks, Contact, and Location. The project highlights El Metro’s rich history, unique ambiance, and extensive food offerings, making it easy for visitors to explore the menu or plan a visit.
Challenges
One of the key challenges was translating the vibrant in-person atmosphere of El Metro into an engaging online experience within the limits of the Squarespace framework. Custom layout work and creative content presentation were required to make the website reflect the same charm as the physical location.
Results
The final site is both informative and inviting a perfect digital extension of the El Metro brand. It delivers easy access to the menu, encourages bookings through a clear contact section, and immerses users in the restaurant's story through rich imagery and historical content. Mobile responsiveness ensures smooth access for users on the go.
