Project Overview
Tool Devil is an online ecommerce store focused on tools, gadgets, and related electronics accessories. The goal was to create a professional and modern shopping experience with custom product sections, category navigation, dynamic offers, account features, and seamless UX. Starting from a Shopify theme, I developed custom Liquid components, structured product catalogs, optimized layouts for browsing and conversions, and implemented responsive design across desktops and mobile. The end result is a highly interactive store that aligns with modern ecommerce expectations and helps the brand present its products clearly and intuitively.
Challenges
Working within Shopify’s theme architecture to extend and tailor sections with custom Liquid code without compromising performance. Ensuring that product filters, category blocks, promotional banners, and account pages felt cohesive with the theme’s base structure. Making sure the custom sections worked responsively across devices and worked smoothly with Shopify’s cart and checkout system. Balancing design polish with Shopify’s built-in constraints while enhancing visuals through CSS and component customization.
Results
Delivered a fully launched Shopify store with custom layouts for product collections, navigation menus (Drills, Trending Products, Air Tools, Hand Tools etc.), account/login integration, wishlist/compare placeholders, and promotional banners. Product browsing is intuitive with clear categorization, and responsive design ensures good usability on mobile and desktop. The store is now ready for ongoing product additions and marketing activity.
