Project Overview
Love Beyond Autism came to me for complete monthly website maintenance and long-term technical support. The website had previously faced major issues, including security breaches, broken features, and missing optimizations. My role was to clean, secure, and restructure the site for long-term growth, while implementing SEO practices to help their important mission rank higher in search results. This included malware removal, server security setup, firewall implementation, SMTP configuration, plugin updates, and database cleanup. I also uploaded and categorized 1500+ images, optimized content, and introduced advanced spam protection features. Today, I continue to manage the site with monthly updates, security audits, and content improvements.
Challenges
The website was previously hacked, leading to security vulnerabilities, spam, and downtime. Fixing this required deep cleaning of the database, removing malware traces, and setting up strict security measures. Another challenge was handling and categorizing 1500+ images while maintaining site speed and SEO value. Creating a guest commenting system with image uploads, admin approvals, honeypots, and captchas without breaking existing site features was also complex. Balancing ongoing content updates with strong security was the core focus.
Results
The site is now fully secure, fast, and SEO-optimized. It runs on strict firewall protections, 2FA authentication, SSL encryption, and database hardening. Spam has been reduced significantly due to honeypots and captcha integration. The guest comment system allows better engagement with proper moderation. SEO improvements, including optimized content, structured categories, and image optimization, have started improving search engine rankings for keywords related to autism support, community engagement, and Love Beyond Autism’s mission. The client is fully satisfied and continues to retain me for monthly maintenance.
